This limited edition large format giclée print of an interior staircase by Ladislav Machon is made from a photographic plate that appeared in “L’art international d’aujourd‘hui, détails d’architecture intérieure, no. 5” a rare portfolio of plates documenting the European Arts Decoratifs from 1920-1937. The original photograph is believed to be either in a private collection or destroyed in WW II.

Ladislav Machon was a Czech architect famous for the interiors of the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague, and the remodeling and interior of the Klementina and Machoňová passage in Pardubice in collaboration with sculptor Otto Gutfreund.
